Find the Fake: Fireworks

There’s nothing quite like watching fireworks light up the night sky. From colorful bursts over the skyline to sparkling trails reflected on the water, firework displays create some of the most dazzling scenes of the season.

But in this edition of Find the Fake, one of these fireworks images wasn’t captured by a camera, it was created by AI.

Look closely at the bursts, smoke, reflections, buildings, shadows, and tiny details in the sky. Does something seem too perfect? Are the colors a little unnatural? Do the lights or reflections not quite line up? The clues are there if you know where to look.

Cue the finale, trust your instincts, and see if you can spot the fireworks scene that exists only in pixels.
