How to Control What’s In Your Facebook News Feed

How to Control What’s In Your Facebook News Feed

by Kurt Knutsson

Tired of social media companies dishing out what they want you to see?  You should be the only censor of your own curated social media experience.  Here’s how you can filter out things you don’t want to see and choose what you’d like to see within your Facebook news feed.

1/ Click the down arrow in the top right of any Facebook page.

2/ Select Settings and then News Feed Preferences

3/ Click “Prioritize who to see first” to make people and pages you want appear at the top of your feed.  Select individuals and then select “done”.

Similarly you can “Unfollow people to hide their posts”, “Reconnect with people you unfollowed” and select “Apps hidden from News Feed”

*

If you’re scrolling through your feed, you can also opt to hide a Post or All Posts right on the spot:

1/ Click the Story options within any post on the top right in your facebook feed.

2/ You can select to Hide a Post to hide that post and see fewer like it

3/ You can opt to Hide All Posts from this source or Snooze posts for 30 days.
