Amazon Wants to Let Users Pay With a Selfie

When you want to know what’s next, look no further than the top tech companies acquisitions and patent filings. Here we go with Amazon saying they want a patent on a particular way of using your camera that’s like taking live selfies.

Making passwords stronger and finding ways to protect us with our mobile technology was front and center this year at the largest mobile show in Barcelona called Mobile World Congress. It was there that more selfie-type password systems were on display.

Amazon thinks that you might buy more products more often if you’ve got an easier way to sign on to an Amazon account securely. Optical and facial recognition password technologies are stronger and can do a better job at locking out the bad guys.
