Apple released a slew of new products including the second generation of Airpods Pro. The first generation came out back in 2019 so Apple fans have been waiting patiently for new features.
Thanks to a new chip, Airpods Pro has an immersive and precise sound that will be a major upgrade from the previous Airpods models.
But the amazing sound is only the beginning when it comes to Apple’s latest wireless earphones.
Airpods Pro (2nd gen)
The second generation Airpods Pro are powered by a brand-new H2 chip that allows users to experience spatial audio in a new way that makes you feel like you’re on stage with your favorite musician as you listen to music.
Airpods Pro have a custom amplifier and low-distortion audio driver so they can bring you a deeper and richer bass sound.
Will the new AirPods Pro fit your ear?
If you pair your AirPods up to your iPhone and download iOS (coming September 12) you can create a personalized profile for spatial audio based on the size and shape of your head and ear.
Active Noise Cancellation on AirPods Pro (2nd gen)
Active Noise Cancellation is better than ever on these next-generation AirPods Pro. Turn off the volume of the world around you as your wear your new AirPods Pro – or switch to Transparency Mode to hear the noise around you.
Adaptive Transparency on AirPods Pro (2nd gen)
While the first generation of AirPods Pro had Transparency Mode, Adaptive Transparency takes it to the next level. Transparency Mode lets outside noise through your AirPods, but Adaptive Transparency Mode adapts to your surroundings. That way you can hear when you need to, and cancel out noise depending on the sounds around you.
Touch Control lets you adjust volume with a swipe
You can now adjust the volume of your AirPods Pro directly from the AirPod stem with Touch Control. If you want to turn up the tunes or your podcast gets too loud, you don’t have to go digging for your iPhone to adjust the volume.
AirPods Pro updated charging case – Finally!
The all-new charging case has a built-in speaker to deliver louder tunes so you can find your AirPod case if you lose track of it. Apple also added a lanyard loop so your mini earbuds are easier to keep track of.
You can customize the charging case by engraving an emoji, memoji, or animoji of your choice. The charging case also added a speaker so you can make it play a sound if you lose sight of it.
Extended battery life for AirPods Pro
Your case and AirPods Pro (2nd gen) will last even longer with extended battery life. AirPods Pro last 6 hours while using Active Noise Cancellation, and they can be charged in the case an additional 4 times. That equals 30 hours of listening time total even while using Active Noise Cancellation.
AirPods Pro adds Apple Music subscription
For a limited time, if you’re a new subscriber to Apple Music you can get a free six-month subscription with the purchase of any AirPods.
