From pencil-thin to bushy and bold, the mighty mustache has taken on many forms – and now, it’s taken on AI. In this round of Find the Fake, we’re putting your detective skills to the test with a follicular twist. You’ll see two mustachioed mugs side-by-side: one is a real photo, the other generated by artificial intelligence. Whether or not you participate in No Shave November – I hope you’ll be able to find the fake.

So grab your magnifying glass (or monocle) and inspect the hairline details. Only one is the genuine article… the other is just a whisker away from fooling you.
