My Android Samsung S23 will occassionally not send or receive Text. I have tried turning on and off Airplane mode, which is Samsung’s Tech solution, without remedy. Only a “reboot” brings it back into full service – at same place, same reception and approximate same time. My previous S7 never manifest that problem while at same historically at same locations and reception. There is no Verizon service irregularity. My wife’s S24 has same characteristics, notably at different times and different locations as my S23. Really frustrating and apparently a problem that many are experiencing given the intensity of Internet discussions.
Hi Mason, this could have to do with this recent Verizon-related news here. Outside of that, if your Samsung S23 occasionally fails to send or receive texts, try resetting your network settings by going to Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset network settings. Ensure your phone’s software is up to date (Settings > Software update > Download and install). If the issue persists, consider using a different messaging app like Google Messages, booting your phone into Safe Mode to check for third-party app interference, or contacting Verizon for further assistance.
My iPhone keeps turning off impromptu and frequently. It just does a reset without my request at random times and is very frustrating. Please advise how to correct that love your newsletter. Thank you for all your support!
Hi Linda, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:
– Ensure your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS by going to Settings > General > Software Update and installing any available updates.
– Check the health of your battery by going to Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging; if the battery health is significantly degraded, it might be time for a replacement. Sometimes, resetting all settings can resolve software issues; go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset All Settings.
– Perform a hard reset to fix any temporary glitches by quickly pressing and releasing the Volume Up button, then the Volume Down button, and then pressing and holding the Side button until the Apple logo appears.
– Ensure your iPhone is not overheating by avoiding direct sunlight or high temperatures and removing any bulky cases that might trap heat. If the issue persists, consider restoring your iPhone to factory settings by going to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Erase All Content and Settings, then restoring from a backup.
– If none of the above steps work, it might be a hardware issue, so contact Apple Support or visit an Apple Store for further assistance.
