Looking for something new to stream this week? From Tuesday, June 9 through Tuesday, June 16, there is a good mix of romance, comedy, animation, crime drama and music-driven movies across the big platforms. Prime Video has a new lakeside romance, Netflix has a comfort-watch favorite and a major musical drama, Hulu has a messy new comedy, HBO Max has fresh animated superhero action, and Paramount+ has a drama returning for its final season.
Prime Video
Every Year After
Based on Carley Fortune’s bestselling novel Every Summer After, this new Prime Video series arrives June 10 and follows Percy and Sam, two childhood friends whose bond turns into a complicated first love. Years later, Percy returns to Barry’s Bay and has to face the choices that pulled them apart. Sadie Soverall and Matt Cornett lead the cast, and this one is a smart pick if you want a romantic drama with nostalgia, secrets and a summer setting.

Hulu
Alice and Steve
Alice and Steve arrived on Hulu just as this week got started, and it has one of those uncomfortable comedy setups that is hard to ignore. Nicola Walker plays Alice, whose longtime best friend, Steve, played by Jemaine Clement, starts dating her adult daughter. That turns a close friendship into a full-on emotional mess. If you like British comedy with sharp performances and painfully awkward choices, this one should be on your list.
It Ends With Us
It Ends With Us joins Hulu on June 9, giving Colleen Hoover fans another way to stream the 2024 romantic drama. Blake Lively stars as Lily Bloom, whose new relationship forces her to confront painful parts of her past. Justin Baldoni directs and co-stars, with Brandon Sklenar also in the cast. It is worth adding if you want an emotional movie night built around love, trauma and second chances.
Apple TV+
Criminal Record
Criminal Record wraps up its second season on June 10, so now is a good time to catch up if you prefer crime dramas when the whole story is nearly complete. Cush Jumbo and Peter Capaldi return as two London officers forced back into each other’s orbit after a violent political rally turns deadly. The season leans into police pressure, intelligence work and a relationship built on distrust, which gives the finale plenty to resolve.
HBO Max
My Adventures with Superman
My Adventures with Superman season 3 arrives on HBO Max on June 14 after its Adult Swim premiere. Jack Quaid is back as Clark Kent in this animated take on Superman’s early years, with Lois, Jimmy and Kara also back in the mix. This season adds new Supermen and raises the stakes for Clark as he figures out what kind of hero he wants to be. It is a good family-friendly superhero pick, especially if you want something lighter than a dark comic-book drama.
Watch My Adventures with Superman
Rick and Morty
Rick and Morty season 9 starts streaming weekly on HBO Max and Hulu on June 15. The new season keeps the show’s chaotic sci-fi energy going, with more multiverse trouble, strange family fallout and the kind of weird side quests fans expect. If you skipped the Adult Swim rollout or prefer to stream, this is the week the latest season becomes easier to add to your queue.
Netflix
Sweet Magnolias
Sweet Magnolias returns for season 5 on June 11, and this time the friendships stretch beyond Serenity. Maddie, Dana Sue and Helen are still leaning on each other through love, career moves and family pressure, but New York adds a fresh wrinkle to the story. JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Brooke Elliott and Heather Headley continue to give the series its comfort-watch appeal.
Song Sung Blue
Song Sung Blue comes to Netflix on June 13 and stars Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson as two struggling performers who build a Neil Diamond tribute act. The movie is based on a true story, but the draw here is the mix of music, marriage, ambition and heartbreak. If you want a movie with familiar songs and two big stars at the center, this is one of Netflix’s strongest new options this week.
Paramount+
All The Queen’s Men

All The Queen’s Men returns for season 5 on Paramount+ on June 10. Eva Marcille is back as Marilyn “Madam” DeVille, the Atlanta nightclub boss trying to hold her empire together while pressure builds around Club Eden. Tyler Perry executive produces the drama, and the new season is set up as a final run for the series. If you already follow the show, this week is when the endgame begins.
