Sharp is known for its electronics, from TVs to air conditioners, but the company’s focus is changing. With the second version of its LDK+ electric vehicle, Sharp is taking a bold step toward connecting your home and car in a new way.

The concept behind LDK+ stands for Living, Dining, Kitchen. Sharp’s goal is to make your vehicle an extension of your home life. It wants your car to feel like a space where you can work, relax, and live, not just travel.

A living space that moves with you

Step inside the LDK+ SUV and you will see how this idea comes to life. The cabin feels like a lounge on wheels. There is a table, a projector, and even a large pull-down screen for movies or virtual meetings. The driver’s seat swivels so you can face the back and create a cozy, social space.

This is not Sharp’s first attempt at the LDK+ concept. The earlier version, revealed last year, had a minivan design with a 65-inch rear display and solar panels on the roof. The new SUV format shows that Sharp wants to make this concept more practical and appealing for families and professionals alike.

More than mobility

The LDK+ is about more than comfort. It is designed to connect with your home’s solar and battery systems to manage energy use between your house and car. Sharp says it can also communicate with connected appliances such as air conditioners, kitchen equipment, and washing machines. The idea is to create an AI-driven ecosystem that helps simplify your daily routine.

Some may wonder how useful that connection will really be, but Sharp is betting that the future of electric vehicles lies in blending mobility with smart living.

What this means for you

If this vision becomes real, it could change how you think about your car and home. Imagine using your vehicle to power your house during the night or having your car adjust your home’s temperature before you arrive. The LDK+ aims to bring convenience and control into every part of your day.
