Whether you’re new to smartphones or you consider yourself an apple wiz, you may be surprised to learn that there are still some smartphone secrets and hidden tricks that you didn’t know you could do.

1) What’s putting the drain on your battery most
Whether on an iPhone or iPad, you can see the top apps that are eating up most of your battery life.

Go to Settings >General >Usage>Battery Usage

2) Easily see every photo texted to you by a friend

Open the  “Messages” app.  Tap “Details” in the upper right corner

3) Share your exact location with a friend 
You’ve got an easy tap to share your location from within Messages by clicking “Details”.  The only thing for you to decide is for how long you want to give your friend access to your whereabouts.

How to Share Your Location:  Open Messages, click “Details” in the upper right corner then select “send my location”

4) Help Siri say your name correctly

Activate Siri by pressing the Home button or holding the Home button and saying “Learn how to pronounce my name” .

 

Siri will guide you through the process of first and last names while giving you the three choices of pronunciation for you to pick each time.

Great post, Kurt! The second trick really amazed me. I never knew the “Details button” ever existed in the message app until i read this post.
