I know I need a good night’s sleep in order to really take on the day and function well. However, sometimes I find myself tossing and turning in the night trying to get myself to fall asleep, and I’m sure I’m not the only one.  A recent sleep study conducted using Apple Watch at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital shows that just 31% of us are getting a good night’s sleep.

Fortunately, the very technology that may be keeping us up can also help with putting together a sleep strategy.  That’s why I’ve gathered some of the best sleeping solutions to help you get the rest you need.

How to transform your sleep experience with these sleep aids

Cooling bedding that helps hot sleepers stay comfortable

Evercool® Cooling Comforter, Evercool®+ Cooling Sheet Set, and Evercool® Cooling Pillow

If you tend to overheat at night, your bedding could be the reason. Many traditional comforters, sheets and pillows trap heat and moisture, leaving you tossing and turning. One solution designed specifically for hot sleepers is the Evercool® cooling bedding collection from Rest. These products use proprietary cooling fabric engineered to feel cool to the touch while allowing heat and moisture to escape. The breathable material helps regulate body temperature and keeps you dry and comfortable through the night. If staying cool is your biggest sleep challenge, upgrading your bedding may make a noticeable difference.

Evercool® Cooling Comforter

BedJet 3 Dual Zone Climate Comfort Sleep System for Couples

1-BEDJET

Credit: BedJet

This air-based product was invented by a former NASA engineer who started the product in 2015 on Kickstarter. BedJet doesn’t require a new bed or mattress and allows you to completely control the temperature of your bed. Available for any size bed, installation is simple. You’ll attach the base to a mattress bracket, which holds the hose that blows either warm or cool air.

In their independent test, BedJet solves the issue that causes restless nights year-round – temperature. Not too hot, not too cool…just right. Within minutes of taking it out of the box, BedJet is forcing air under the covers on a hot restless night. On cold winter nights, instead of heating the entire house at night, BedJet provides gentle warming coziness under the covers.

Aside from better sleep, it helps with saving money on heating or cooling bills since you don’t need to heat or cool the whole house. From a safety perspective, there are no wires or electricity in the bed, and the entire casing of the product is flameproof. And you gotta love this.  Sharing the other side of the bed with a partner who runs hotter or colder than you?

This is the solution for the couple who can’t agree on a temperature. If your partner needs 3 blankets while you’re kicking them off each night, you’ll want this dual-temperature King size version of the cooling and heating system.

The BedJet 3 Climate Control King Size comes with:

  • 2 BedJet base units
  • 2 wireless remotes
  • 1 Cloud Sheet (not required, but helps with air distribution)
  • Access to an app for both iPhone and Android to control the temperature from your smartphone

Kurt’s key takeaways

The Apple Watch sleep data from Brigham and Women’s Hospital makes one thing clear: most of us are not getting the quality sleep we need. However, that does not mean you need a complete lifestyle overhaul. Instead, small and practical changes can lead to meaningful results. For example, you can adjust your bedroom temperature, reduce light exposure or block out background noise. You can also rethink how you wake up in the morning. When you target the biggest sleep disruption first, improvement feels manageable. Better sleep is not just about feeling less tired. It supports focus, mood and long-term health. So tonight, ask yourself: what is one simple change you can make to sleep better?

What’s the one thing that most often keeps you up at night – temperature, noise, stress or your phone – and what have you tried to fix it? Let us know in the comments below.
