by Kurt Knutsson

There’s a little setting change to an iPhone that will make it next to impossible for prying eyes to see what messages are on your phone when its locked.

As a matter of convenience, iPhone and iPad software let’s you get quick access to notifications and messages along with some controls even when your device is locked.

That opens it up to snooping friends, family and foe reading private information and seeing top texts when you are not around and they have access to your locked device.

  1. On iPhone or iPad go to Settings
  2. Scroll down to find and tap Face ID & Passcode. Enter passcode when requested.
